DELIVERY, HOW IT WORKS
MUNDO DO VINHO sends orders to any point in Mainland Portugal, Islands and Europe, or to almost any point on Earth, directly to the customer's home or address indicated by him for delivery of the goods. The customer agrees that any and all responsibility for sending merchandise, at his request, to an address other than his own is his sole responsibility, and Mundo do Vinho cannot be penalized for this.
Orders placed in our Online Store will only be processed and shipped after payment has been confirmed. As a general rule, if the purchase is made and its payment is confirmed before 12:00 pm, the order will be sent on the afternoon of the same day; otherwise, the order will only be sent on the day following the purchase, once the payment has been confirmed.
Deliveries in mainland Portugal are between 24 to 48 hours
Azores and Madeira between 4 to 8 days
Mainland Spain between 2 to 4 days
Rest of Europe between 4 to 8 days
Delivery times are estimated. Although very unlikely, delays may occur due to force majeure reasons which we do not and cannot control. In such a case, the customer will be informed by MUNDO DO VINHO as soon as we become aware of the situation; it is our goal to deliver to the customer as soon as possible.
Our deliveries are made on weekdays and it is important that the customer ensures someone will be at the indicated address to receive the goods during office hours; customers must also ensure that the delivery address is complete and correct. If necessary, the customer should indicate in the field “Remarks/ Observations” the preferred day for the delivery as well as the direct mobile phone contact, etc. in case the customer desires to schedule the delivery for a specific day and time; this may incur an extra cost that will be calculated on a case-by-case basis.
In the event of a postal strike or similar service strike or any other occasional circumstances that may cause delays in the delivery of products purchased at Mundo do Vinho, the latter will be exempt from liability for the delay in delivery.
MINIMUM PURCHASE QUANTITY
Mundo do Vinho has packaging adapted for the protected transport of three (3) or six (6) bottles; for this reason, all orders for bottles must be made in multiples of 3 or 6 units and/or with a value equal to or greater than 25€, VAT included.
Mundo do Vinho complies with Portuguese legislation in force. All product prices shown in our Online Store include VAT at the legal rate in force: 6%, 13%, or 23%, depending on the category.
Our aim, to all our customers, is to serve high quality wines that are kept in excellent storage conditions, at ideal temperatures of conservation, in our distribution center and are in the best conditions when sent to our customers.
IN CASE OF DAMAGED PRODUCT AT RECEPTION
Please let us know within a maximum period of 48 hours, keeping the broken or damaged bottles and boxes exactly as you received them, so that we can claim the situation with the carrier and insurance, in order to replace all the product in question.
We exist to serve our customers and guarantee the quality of the products purchased from us. In the event that you open your bottle and find it to be a defective bottle, please keep it; once we have verified the veracity of the complaint, we will gladly exchange it for another bottle in perfect condition or a different bottle of equal value.
As we cannot control the way in which the bottles purchased from us are stored, we limit their exchange to a maximum period of 15 days from the date of dispatch. The return must always be made after having been agreed with the Customer Support of Mundo de Vinho, and accompanied by the original purchase invoice, the exchange and the product being subject to the evaluation of our quality control team (email@example.com) .
Important Note: In our store, in the Velharias family, there are products that, being old or very old wines, we do not guarantee that they are in the best conditions for consumption. The customer runs the risk, (it is to his own account and at his own risk) that he many find some of these wines unsuitable for consumption. Some of these products are not destined for consumption, but for collectors or consumers who love old wines and who are aware that in this type of product line great wines can be found, but one or another bottle at times is not in the best of conditions for consumption. The condition of being in this category of old wines and the information that we do not guarantee the return of the value of a certain product is immediately expressed on the product page; however we do guarantee the originality of these products.
REFUSAL OR INABILITY TO RECEIVE ORDER
In this situation, we will make a second attempt to deliver the order, informing the customer of the expected delivery date in order to expedite the delivery. In case the order is once again returned, the next attempt will be to the account and at the risk of the customer. However, the goods will remain on the customer's orders at our premises.
HOW TO RETURN ITEMS
If you have items to return, please contact us by email: firstname.lastname@example.org within a maximum period of 15 days from the date of dispatch of your merchandise. The merchandise should ONLY be returned after receiving the “OK” of the Customer Support Team for its return.
